Wednesday Afternoons

We are extremely lucky at Dupont to have two very experienced and talented Tutors – Lucy Parker and Caroline Marsland.

Caroline is our Tutor for Wednesday afternoons and Lucy and Caroline are responsible for alternate Thursday sessions. Caroline Marsland continues to run special sessions on alternate Wednesdays.

From time to time Lucy Parker and Caroline Marsland run workshops on a Thursday. Information is posted on the club notice board. As usual, still life facilities are provided for members who don’t wish to join the workshops.

Thursday Sessions –
These sessions alternate between the two instructors. There are occasional special sessions which will be posted as they occur. From time to time Caroline will start her Thursday session with a short demonstration of some aspect of life drawing/painting. There is also a still life for members at each session

SUPER THURSDAYS AT DUPONT
WHY NOT SPEND THE WHOLE DAY AT DUPONT?

STAY ALL DAY THURSDAY
If you decide to stay all day on a Thursday you will pay the normal fee of £5 in the morning, and just £3 in the afternoon. If you use the model the £3 per session will still apply.

ALL DAY POSE
On the first Thursday of every month we will have an all day pose. This will enable you to paint in acrylics or oils as well as watercolour. Still life will still be available and of course you can work on your own.

COSTUME – ALL DAY POSE
We will now have costume on the third Thursday every month. Once again it will be the same pose all day.

SPECIALS SESSIONS 10am -4pm

THE BIG PICTURE
This will take place on Thursday 25th May. Lucy has selected a wonderful painting for us to copy this year:- “ WORK” by Ford Madox Brown Click the link to see this painting.

Members are invited to spend from 10am to 4pm at Dupont. however you can come just for the morning or afternoon. Each session will cost £6.
For those new to this event, take a look at the web site and talk to other members.
We use acrylic paint. Paint and brushes can be provided, however you are invited to bring your own acrylic and brushes.

PALETTE KNIFE PAINTING A LANDSCAPE FROM PHOTOGRAPHIC REFERENCE

Lucy Parker will instruct on June 22nd from 10am to 4pm with an hour break for lunch.
We will be painting in acrylics or oil. All day session fee £20. Plus material costs.
Acrylic paint, board and photographs will be available. If you want to use oils please bring this with you together with canvas. There will be a supply of pallet knives.

PAINTING THE MODEL LOOSLY IN WATERCOLOUR

With Caroline Marsland will instruct  on September 28th on from 10am to 4pm with an hour for lunch
For this all day session we will have a model. Paper can be provided, please bring you own watercolours.
The cost for the all day workshop will be £25 to include the cost of the model.
