About Dupont Art Club Hove

Dupont Art Club was formed in 1981

in the studios of The Old Market Arts Centre in Brighton (now the Old Market) in the shadows of the old Dupont Riding Stables, Dupont Art Club was born.

Dupont now operates in Hove

We meet at the Ventnor Hall at the Central United Reformed church, Blatchington Road, Hove, BN3 3YF

We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to professional artists. Members are able to work in any medium they wish: anything from oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolour, pen and ink, to pencil and charcoal.

We always have a selection of paper for sale.

Weekly Art Sessions in Hove

There are two sessions each week, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning.

We have two very experienced and talented art tutors at Dupont Art Club  – Lucy Parker and Caroline Marsland.

You can have as much or as little help as you would like.

There are also workshops which can cover a variety of techniques; colour mixing, painting backgrounds, how to draw parts of a body etc. The information is posted on the club notice board. As usual, facilities are provided for members who don’t wish to join the workshops.

Dupont Art Club is a not for profit organisation

run by and for members. We are a member of Brighton and Hove Arts Council.
